Associate Director, Veterinary Science & Technology
Location: Connecticut
Job Description The Associate Director of Science & Technology is responsible for oversight and direction of the S & T department’s deliverables including strategic, technical and collaborative activities in alignment with the Line’s site goals and the WWCM Research Partnership Team’s (CMRPT) goals. As a member of the CM Leadership Team (CMLT) and in concert with the LT members, the Associate Director also serves as a resource for all CM colleagues with respect to leadership and daily business execution at the site.
Duties include:
Provision of direction and leadership to S&T department colleagues, to help develop these colleagues to their full scientific and career potential. This includes setting goals and timelines for projects within the department.
Working with the CM site head, the Associate Director is responsible for developing the strategy for optimum management of available CM resources, including personnel, to ensure S&T offerings are provided as defined in the Service Level Agreements. These offerings include, but are not limited to: anesthesia and surgical support, scientific collaboration and technical support for the Bio-Imaging Center, animal model development and animal model transfer. Provide technical expertise and development of new technical capabilities to support customer needs.
Job Requirements DVM/VMD
Demonstrated ability to lead a scientific and technical organization.
Minimum three years managerial experience in a large, diverse research institution.
Technical and behavioral competencies expected include: scientific and technical expertise in laboratory animal medicine, cross Line scientific collaboration, solid knowledge of pharmaceutical R & D business processes/operations and knowledge of regulatory requirements in working with research animals, leadership, teamwork, organizational agility, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Desired:
Advanced training and board certification in laboratory animal medicine or other veterinary specialty.
Previous direct research experience.

Job Description Pharma client in New Jersey is seeking an MD candidate with a specialty expertise in Thrombosis.
Successful candidate will be responsible for providing scientific input into core strategic functions--life cycle management, licensing, value proposition, and drug development strategies. Awareness of how to optimize development of a drug for commercialization based upon unmet medical needs and value of the asset. Understanding of regulatory review process and clinical trial development required.
Job Requirements MD required. Candidate must have five plus years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry. A background in clinical development or medical affairs with a specialty expertise in Thrombosis is desirable.
