Manager- Strategy & Analysis
Location: East Coast

Job Description
The incumbent will work closely with the Division Lead to support the Performance Measurement capability within the Pharmaceutical Development Center of Excellence PDCE including the following: manage PDCE scorecard measures, recommend appropriate targets, and build alignment between the scorecard and PDCE strategy and goals. Coordinate the collection and consolidation of internal divisional performance data for publication, ensure quality and timeliness of scorecard publication, review scorecard measures individually and as a whole, research issues within the measures, examine trends, and present opportunities for measure improvement and organizational improvement. Contribute to creation of analysis and impact reports for PDCE senior leadership, participate in action planning to address results, gather appropriate benchmark data, collaborate with the functional areas to drive continuous process improvement in performance measurement. This incumbent will work collaboratively with the Portfolio Benchmarking and Metrics group, performance measurement colleagues within all PRI divisions, and within the PDCE to maintain and publish the PDCE’s Balanced Scorecard in a manner consistent with PRI standards and guidelines. Will listen carefully to the needs of the PDCE functional areas and project teams to ensure the PDCE performance measurement capability achieves the goal of enabling continuous improvement, and aligning PDCE strategy, processes, and capabilities with PRI and BMS goals. Will work closely with technology team and other specialists to identify, raise, and facilitate resolution of issues with the performance measurement capability.

Job Requirements
Strong knowledge of Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Controls CMC development and business practices. Demonstrated contribution to an area of drug development. Good understanding of rigorous analytical approaches using large data sets with demonstrated achievement in using them to gain strategic insights. Experience with metrics and aligning them to strategy. Demonstrated contribution to the development of creative, innovative, and practical approaches to improving practices and systems. Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and differences in a creative, constructive and diplomatic manner. Demonstrated ability to follow up on open issues and drive results to completion. Strong communication skills. Experience with the Balanced Scorecard a plus. A bachelor’s degree, preferably in science or engineering, with 9-11 years experience, a Master’s degree with 7-9 years experience, or a PhD with 4-6 years experience.

Project Analyst
Location: New Jersey

Job Description
The responsibilities associated with the position include: providing support to multiple project teams in areas of timeline management, facilitation of sub-team operations, project-based budgeting, coordination of team-authored documents and deliverables, and other assigned duties; taking responsibility for issue resolution; creating and maintaining timelines for teams and sub-teams in support of registrational filings; managing assigned sub-team meetings and activities, potentially to include agendas and summaries; providing reports and graphics of project timelines and budgets; and soliciting and managing target dates for key activities. Candidates who do not meet the all of the specific requirements of this position will be considered and evaluated on an individual basis.

Job Requirements
The preferred candidate will have a M.S., M.B.A, or other advanced degree in a physical or natural science with 4 or more years experience in the pharmaceutical industry in such areas as clinical development, pharmaceutical development, chemistry, or biology. A basic understanding of the drug development and commercialization process, and participation in project teams focused on drug development or pharmaceutics R&D in a complex multidisciplinary environment is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills and superior computer/information technology literacy are required. Specifically, superior skills in (1) the creation and management of project timelines using Microsoft Project software, OPX2 or similar scheduling software and (2) Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is expected. The successful candidate must be able to manage multiple competing priorities; understand and manage team dynamics; interact productively with team members and management; and manage by influence rather than by line-reporting authority.
